Vijayaratnam Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the QI Group in Malaysia has established Taarana, a school for children with special education needs in Malaysia. Taarana, the brainchild of Datin Sri Umayal Eswaran is a school that helps these children realise their full potential and provides them with the ability to lead an independent life. 

Taarana opened its doors in June 2011 with highly qualified educators and has since enrolled more than fifty students. Along with excellent testimonials from the parents, the Foundation subsidises fees to ensure that nothing gets in the way of a special child getting the right schooling.
